Telegram Cloud Storage: Complete Detailed Instructions

cloud telegram 2021 Secrets and tricks

Few netizens don’t use Google Drive, iCloud or Yandex.Disk, let alone dozens of other similar services. It is really convenient: you do not need to store large amounts of data on physical media, and access to information is available wherever you can go to the Internet.

In short, one can hardly surprise anyone with such storage now, but the presence of a cloud in Telegram undoubtedly adds points in favor of the messenger, which is gradually becoming a universal tool for a variety of tasks.

Features of technical implementation

What exactly is the notorious ” cloud ” and how does it work? This is a simplified name for the cloud storage technology, which allows you to store data on a remote server, in our case, on Telegram servers .

The ability to send information to the cloud storage is implemented in Telegram simply and unpretentiously. For this, the section “Favorites” (“Saved messages”) is provided, which looks like a regular chat, only you conduct a dialogue with yourself in it .

In addition to saving individual posts from other conversations to this chat, you can upload files to it, after which they will be available from any device on which you log in.

The main advantages of the Telegram cloud:

  • It’s free;
  • The storage volume is not limited;
  • Available on any platform.

Perhaps the only drawback is the limitation on the size of a separate file – it should not exceed 1.5 GB . This cannot be called a critical disadvantage, because difficulties can arise only with films.

Other types of data can be split into archives of several parts. This limitation applies not only to “Saved Messages”, but also to other chats.

How to enter the Telegram cloud

There are a lot of applications. You can simply store personal data, create a corporate chat that will simultaneously replace Dropbox or Google Drive. In general, the options for application depend only on your needs and are limited only by your imagination.

How to come in its own cloud Telegram  via the desktop version of the application? You need to find a special icon next to your nickname.

In the opened chat you will be able to drop everything that you need. To do this, you can click on the paperclip icon or simply drag and drop files into the program window.

It will be nice if you have some free space to pin your Favorites. Telegram still has a limit of 5 pinned dialogs.

Sharing the cloud

Cloud storage can be used not only alone. Both in ordinary dialogues and in groups, there is a joint multimedia base, which is also stored in the cloud.

Accessing a shared cloud is easy. In the mobile version:

  • Click on the avatar of the interlocutor / group name, a menu opens;
  • Go to the item “Shared Media” (“Shared Materials” in iOS);
  • Done, you are there!

The database has a convenient sorting by type: media, files, links, audio, voice.

How to manage data in the Telegram cloud

The files that are in the Telegram storage are very easy to manage. And it doesn’t matter where they are located – in the dialogue or in the “Chosen One”.

What actions are available here:

  • Go to the message in the dialog box. You can see when and by whom the media file was sent (in case of general chat);
  • Forwarding this message to any other conversation;
  • Delete message;
  • Highlighting one or more messages. After that, the three above actions become available.
