The track of the rapper’s girlfriend from Sacramento, USA, has become a popular hit and the soundtrack to many Tik Tok videos. The growing popularity of the song deserves special attention as it was released in February 2019 on the album Stunna Girl YKWTFGO. Everything changed in July when the song hit TikTok and the #RunwayChallenge was born.

In an Instagram video, Stunna Girl announced the signing of a million dollar deal with Capitol Music Group. This, she said, is “definitely” partly due to the popularity of the song on Tik Tok. And that popularity has translated into success on other platforms.

According to the rapper, she created Runway in 30 minutes. She made a motivational anthem.
“When I was in the studio, I felt like, ‘Bitch, you look like you just walked off the runway.’ “I really just wanted to keep making music that would get people moving… Get in the groove instead of being depressed because there’s so much depressing music around and I didn’t want that.”
“I want it to be a lifestyle for people,” she added. “You look like you just walked off the catwalk. Get up, put on your best clothes and go there.”
